Our highest quality furled leader.

The Mystic Creek Guide Series is the highest quality thread based leader on the market today.

The Mystic Creek Guide Series Leaders are a 3 leg, 8 step leader.

The advantages of making a leader with 3 legs instead of the traditional 2 legs are:

They have a rounder cross section that is more tightly furled and smaller in diameter. This also makes The MC Guide Series denser which enables it to preform better in the wind. The MC Guide Series has an 8 step taper which makes it 30% smoother than it's 5 step, 2 leg counterpart.

 

 A high quality 2 leg  thread based multi-color leader. This leader is a 5 step leader that has 4 strands of .004" premium monofilament in the main body of the leader. The addition of the monofilament enables the leader to turn over larger more wind resistant bugs and still gives you a great presentation. The last 6" or so on the tippet end has a fade to a clear monofilament tip.

Our original thread based

multi color leader. This is a 2 leg  thread based multi-color leader. This leader has 4 strands of .005" premium monofilament in the body of the leader. The last 16" or so on the tippet end has a fade to a clear monofilament tip.

Straight monofilament based leader.

This is a basic economical furled leader. Great in heavy cover fishing. Will turn over heavier bugs but the lighter monofilament leaders still have the ability to give a soft presentation with smaller flies.

Made fron Power Pro Spectra. Our toughest leader.

Great for hauling the big ones out from heavy cover. These furled leaders are extremely strong.

Their breaking strength is:

2-4 wt 30# 4-6 wt 48# 6-8 wt 60#

8-10 wt 90# 10-12 wt 120#

12-14 wt 180#

I can put tippet rings on these leaders but I do recommend a shorb loop as the leader is stronger than most tippet rings.
